Meredith Mullen is a professional Pastry Chef based in Western Sydney.

My baking career started at a very young age. The highlight of my early years was flicking through the pages of Woman’s Weekly Birthday Cake Book to choose my birthday cake. With the design picked out and my mum by my side I would bake and decorate my little heart out. My first paid cake customer was in 1999, a humble chocolate mud cake with chocolate ganache and garnished with chocolate and native edible flowers.

In later years, I became a qualified Chef, working in many successful restaurants in Sydney. Over time, my heart and passion led me to back to baking and I achieved further qualifications as a Pastry Chef. I have over 25 years of professional experience.

With this love of cake and all things sweet, in November 2012, Sweet by Meredith Mullen was born. And what a ride it has been.

As a maker of all things sweet, I love being apart of your celebrations though a personalised cake or sweet thing. I am so honoured to be apart of your special moments. I believe there is nothing better than to receive the gift of a sweet treat - it soothes the soul! So I am here to bake a difference.
